On 12 November 2003, in the APLAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) Council Meeting in Seoul, Korea, the APLAC MRA was extended to include the accreditation of inspection bodies. HKAS is one of the four MRA inaugural members of the inspection bodies. This means that inspection reports and certificates issued by an inspection body accredited by a signatory to the Arrangement will be accepted by other signatories.
