Hong Kong Accreditation Service operates three accreditation schemes, namely, the Hong Kong Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (HOKLAS), the Hong Kong Certification Body Accreditation Scheme (HKCAS), and the Hong Kong Inspection Body Accreditation Scheme (HKIAS), to provide accreditation on a voluntary basis for a range of conformity assessment services.

We pledge

to issue the assessment report within 62 clear working days after receipt of properly completed application and necessary documents for 85% of applications for extension within an existing test category, inspection or certification field;
to grant accreditation within 14 clear working days from the date that all remedial actions are confirmed to be satisfactory for 85% of applications for extension within an existing test category, inspection or certification field;
to conduct advisory visit within 21 clear working days after receipt of properly completed application and necessary documents for 85% of new applications or applications for extension into a new category, inspection or certification field;
to issue the assessment report within 76 clear working days from the date the applicant confirms readiness for formal assessment for 85% of new applications or applications for extension into a new category, inspection or certification field; and
to grant accreditation within 14 clear working days from the date that all remedial actions are confirmed to be satisfactory for 85% of new applications or applications for extension into a new category, inspection or certification field.
