SCL Authorised to use the CIPM MRA Logo
Authorisation has been given by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) for the Standards and Calibration Laboratory (SCL) to use the CIPM MRA Logo in its calibration certificates. The CIPM MRA is an "Arrangement for Mutual Recognition of National Measurement Standards and of Calibration and Measurement Certificates Issued by National Metrology Institutes (NMIs)" drawn up by the International Committee for Weights and Measures (CIPM). Details of the CIPM MRA are available on BIPM's website (click here). SCL has been a signatory of the CIPM MRA since May 2000. It's calibration and measurement capabilities (CMCs) in the fields of electricity, time and frequency, thermometry, length, mass and related quantities (including force) are published in the Technical Schedule (Appendix C) of the CIPM MRA and listed in the key comparison database (KCDB) on BIPM's website (click here). Calibration certificates issued by SCL with the CIPM MRA Logo are internationally recognised by over 180 NMIs and related organisations in 65 economies.
