Measurement Uncertainty
All measurement uncertainties reported in SCL's calibration certificates or reports have been evaluated in accordance with principles in the ISO Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement. The expanded measurement uncertainty U, with its coverage factor k, corresponds to a 95 % probability that the value of the measurand Y lies within the interval y - U to y + U. The combined standard measurement uncertainty uc can be calculated as uc = U/k and its degrees of freedom νeff is given by the t-distribution with the respective k value.
SCL's calibration and measurement capabilities (CMC) as accredited by Hong Kong Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (HOKLAS) are listed in HOKLAS website
For more information about the term calibration and measurement capability (CMC), please refer to the COMMUNIQUÉ Change in Terminology Relating to Best Measurement Capability (BMC) and Calibration and Measurement Capability (CMC) issued by HKAS.
