Introduction

The State Science and Technology Awards, initiated by the State Council of the People's Republic of China (PRC), aim to:

reward citizens and organizations that have made outstanding contributions in scientific and technological progress activities;
recognize the enthusiasm and creativity of scientists and technologists;
accelerate the development of scientific and technological undertakings; and
enhance overall national strength.
