Transition to the Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated MRA Mark

Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated has announced a temporary process allowing its Full Members, including the Hong Kong Accreditation Service (HKAS), to continue using the IAF MLA and ILAC MRA Marks after 1 January 2026 until the new Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated MRA Mark is legally registered and available.

HKAS accredited Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) that were authorised to use the IAF combined MLA Mark and/or the ILAC combined MRA Mark prior to 1 January 2026 may continue to use these marks during the transition period, in accordance with the requirements of HKCAS SC-05, HKIAS SC-06 and HOKLAS SC-41. Such use is permitted only until the Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated MRA Mark is legally registered and subsequently made available through HKAS, following any required local registration in Hong Kong. After that date, CABs shall not apply the IAF/ILAC combined Marks to any certificates/reports they issue.
