Active Hydrogen Maser Standard at the Standards and Calibration Laboratory (SCL)

SCL Frequency Reference Standard, including 2 sets of Caesium Atomic Standard and 1 set of Active Hydrogen Maser Standard

Standards and Calibration Laboratory has set up a new active hydrogen maser standard at its Advanced Communication Technology Laboratory. This new standard generates more accurate and reliable reference frequency signals to maintain metrological traceability for various measurement standards in SCL, including time and frequency, direct current, low frequency, radio frequency, magnetism, etc.

An active hydrogen maser standard is based on the physical properties of the hydrogen atom to generate extremely stable frequency signal. Together with the Laboratory’s existing caesium frequency standards, the new SCL frequency reference standard will continue to be the highest standard in the field of time and frequency maintained by the laboratory.
