InnoHK

InnoHK is a major initiative of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government to develop Hong Kong as the hub for global research collaboration. This involves the establishment of world-class research clusters at the Hong Kong Science Park with research laboratories set up by world-renowned universities and research institutes to conduct collaborative researches.

InnoHK Research Clusters

Health@InnoHK focuses on all types of healthcare-related technologies, including for instance drug discovery, personalized medicine, molecular diagnostics, bioengineering, chemical biology, bioinformatics, vaccine development and medical instrumentation etc.

AIR@InnoHK focuses on the development of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics technologies. Research focuses cover big data analytics, machine learning, cognitive systems, intelligent agents, medical robotics and other robots etc.

SEAM@InnoHK focuses on four research areas, namely sustainable development, energy, advanced manufacturing and materials.

Admission to the InnoHK Research Clusters

The InnoHK initiative has received enthusiastic responses from world-class universities and research institutions. After a rigorous selection and assessment process, 30 research laboratories have been admitted to Health@InnoHK and AIR@InnoHK, and the list is attached below.

Establishment of SEAM@InnoHK

Eight proposals have been approved for admission to the third InnoHK research cluster, SEAM@InnoHK. The research and development centres under this cluster will be established in phases starting in the first half of 2026. For details, please refer to the press release below.

Application for transfer of equipment

Equipment with purchase cost of HK$500,000 and above purchased with InnoHK funding by the InnoHK research clusters which the operating period had been expired are listed for application of transfer.

Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria and agree to all terms and disclaimers of the transfer specified in the application form. The listing of equipment and the application form are provided below.
