2017 Policy Address further fosters the development of I&T ecosystem
Since the establishment of the Innovation and Technology Bureau (ITB), the atmosphere for innovation and technology development in Hong Kong has been significantly enhanced over the past year. In the 2017 Policy Address, a series of measures were announced to further foster the development of the innovation and technology ecosystem.

Anti-strip Jumper - Innovative and intimate apparel design for the people who need special care
The "Anti-strip Jumper", recently developed by The Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA), is more comfortable than the previous attire and deters the wearers from removing their diapers at inappropriate times, thus improving their quality of life through better hygiene. At the same time, it gives caregivers in care centres more time to take care of their other needs.

The Government of the HKSAR Standards and Calibration Laboratory sets up new calibration services for vibration monitoring equipment
The Government of the HKSAR Standards and Calibration Laboratory (SCL) has developed new calibration services for vibration monitoring equipment to support the construction, testing and certification industries in Hong Kong. Vibration monitoring equipment, such as vibration meters, is used to monitor the health of machines, to diagnose structural faults and to analyse building structures.
