APAS R&D Centre Showcase 2017 Presented Advanced Automobile Technology
The Automotive Parts and Accessory Systems (APAS) R&D Centre, operating under the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC), held the Automotive Parts and Accessory Systems R&D Centre Showcase 2017 on July 21 at HKPC, presenting the achievements of locally-developed Internet of Vehicles (IoV) and new energy vehicle technologies. APAS is dedicated to developing more advanced automobile technologies to support local enterprises in seizing opportunities in today’s smart and green transport market.

In celebration of APAS’s achievements, the Showcase was opened by Ms Annie Choi, Commissioner for Innovation and Technology. Other officiating guests included Mrs Agnes Mak, Executive Director of HKPC, and Mr Dave Ho, Acting Assistant Director (Air Policy) of the Environmental Protection Department.

The Showcase featured cutting-edge smart transport technologies, including the first locally-developed wireless electric vehicle (EV) charger, a smart vehicle-to-home (V2H) system for EVs, a new generation MOST150 infotainment system for hi-speed passenger trains, a close-up monitoring system for trains and various EV charging solutions.

Upcoming I&T Event
  1. "InnoTech Expo 2017", organised by Our Hong Kong Foundation, will be held from September 24 to October 2 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, aiming to showcase China's scientific and technological achievements from ancient to modern times, and promote the interest of Hong Kong people in innovation and technology.   2. "InnoTech Month 2017" will be launched at Hong Kong Cultural Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui on September 30. A specially designed mobile truck with interesting virtual reality (VR) games and a robot ambassador will visit different districts from September 30 to October 13. InnoTech Month will also provide various activities to the public, including, carnival, exhibitions, workshops, guided tours and forums, etc. Please refer to the Facebook page of Innovation and Technology Commission for details.
