The InnoTech Expo 2018 was successfully held from September 23 to October 2. The large-scale innovation and technology exhibition hosted by Our Hong Kong Foundation is the third of such annual event. With the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Expo showcased China’s I&T achievements and demonstrated many high-tech inventions. With a record-high attendance of over 150,000, the Expo has significantly raised public awareness of I&T development and collaboration in Hong Kong and the mainland.

According to Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in the UK, over 285 million people across the global live with some sort of sight loss. If those patients’ eye conditions had been diagnosed and treated earlier, most of their sight could have been saved. With a new artificial intelligence (AI) tool recently developed, over 50 eye diseases can be detected readily in the near future.
