Learn more about local technology funding schemes
The Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) sets up various funding schemes under the Innovation and Technology Fund to support private companies for their in-house research and development ("R&D") in collaboration with local universities or research institutions, technology adoption, recruitment of research interns, patent applications and more.

To help technology start-ups build and grow their businesses, ITC, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTPC) and Cyberport have launched a number of funding schemes to provide financial support for technology start-ups, just to name a few including:

  • Innovation and Technology Venture Fund
  • Technology Start-up Support Scheme for Universities
  • HKSTPC Corporate Venture Fund
  • Cyberport Creative Micro Fund
  • Cyberport Macro Fund

Upcoming I&T Event
  1. The "Innovation and Technology Support Programme (ITSP)" of the Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF) covers the funding of exploratory and forward-looking projects, applied research and development projects that are industry-oriented and have commercial potential. The Programme is now open for application and will close on March 29, 2018. Click here for more details.
  2. Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) will showcase a series of the latest LTE and 5G communications technologies at the "Mobile World Congress 2018" from February 26 to March 1 in Barcelona, Spain. Click here for more details.
